This week, Year 3 visited the Oriental Museum to learn more about Ancient Egypt. They had a wonderful time as they learnt how to be archeologists when they were given the opportunity to handle ancient Egyptian artefacts.
They also pretended to be Egyptian gods, which was very exciting, and examined relics in the museum. They all enjoyed the day and learnt a great deal about life during Ancient Egypt.
Comments on the day by the children were,
‘I really enjoyed dressing up in the masks of the gods!’
‘I loved examining the Egyptian scarab beetles.’
‘ I really liked the dead mummy as it was really cool and interesting!’
‘I found it fascinating how some of the most valuable artefacts were actually some of the smallest!’
